1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website or booking our services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or booking under the supervision of a parent/guardian) and that the information you provide is accurate and complete. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Bookings & Confirmation

• All bookings are subject to availability of the selected houseboat and travel date.
• A booking is confirmed only after we receive the required advance payment and issue a written confirmation (email/WhatsApp).
• Please verify guest count, check-in time, package inclusions, and special requests at the time of booking.
• We reserve the right to decline or cancel a booking in case of incorrect details, non-payment, or misuse of our services.

3. Payments & Pricing

• Prices are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise stated and may vary by season, boat category, and guest count.
• An advance deposit is typically required to secure your reservation; the balance is payable as communicated in your confirmation.
• Additional charges may apply for extra guests, special meals, decorations, or add-on activities requested after booking.
• Government taxes, if applicable, will be shown separately or included as stated in your quote.

Please complete payments within the timelines shared in your booking confirmation to avoid automatic cancellation.

4. Cancellation & Refunds

Unless a custom policy is stated in your confirmation, the following general guidelines apply:

• More than 7 days before travel: Advance may be partly refundable after deduction of processing charges, subject to boat operator policy.
• Within 7 days of travel: Advance payment is generally non-refundable.
• No-show / same-day cancellation: Full booking amount is non-refundable.
• Refunds, where approved, are processed to the original payment method within a reasonable period.
• Date changes are subject to availability and may involve a rescheduling fee.

Peak-season, festival, and special-event bookings may follow stricter cancellation terms communicated at the time of booking.

5. Guest Responsibilities

• Arrive at the boarding point on time with valid photo identification for all adult guests.
• Follow safety instructions from the captain and crew at all times.
• Do not carry illegal substances, weapons, or hazardous items on board.
• Respect local culture, other guests, and the natural environment of the backwaters.
• Any damage to the houseboat, furniture, or equipment caused by guests may be charged separately.
• Alcohol consumption, if permitted on the selected package, must be responsible and within local regulations.

6. Inclusions & Exclusions

Package inclusions (meals, AC usage hours, welcome drinks, sightseeing, etc.) are as listed in your selected package and confirmation. Unless expressly included, the following are typically excluded:

• Personal expenses, tips, and laundry.
• Entry fees to attractions not mentioned in the itinerary.
• Transportation to/from the boarding point (unless transfer is part of the package).
• Travel insurance and medical expenses.
• Extra meals, beverages, and decorations beyond the package.

7. Liability & Safety

We take reasonable care in arranging houseboat experiences. However, backwater travel involves natural water bodies and outdoor conditions. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for delays, itinerary changes, or cancellations caused by weather, water levels, strikes, government restrictions, or other events beyond our control.
• Guests participate in activities at their own risk and should follow all safety guidance.
• We recommend suitable travel/medical insurance for your trip.
• Our liability, if any, is limited to the amount paid for the affected booking.

8. Changes by Us

We may modify itineraries, substitute an equivalent houseboat, or adjust meal plans when necessary due to operational, safety, or weather reasons. Where a significant change occurs, we will inform you as early as possible and offer suitable alternatives.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, logos, graphics, and design — is owned by or licensed to us and may not be copied, reproduced, or used commercially without prior written permission.

10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from bookings or use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kerala, India.
